Electronic Control Unit

Electronic Control Unit

Driving the world's most advanced racing programmes.

TAG-700 is the central control unit selected by engineers at the highest level of motorsport. A clean-slate design, it sets a new benchmark for integrated control in elite competition. Serving as a unified platform, TAG-700 manages Internal Combustion, MGU-K, Chassis and Driver functions supporting all 2026 FIA Formula 1 cars, as well as leading FIA WEC LMH and LMDh programmes.

Built on a scalable, ultra high-performance architecture, TAG-700 brings cutting-edge capability to every level of motorsport, from Formula 1 and Hypercar to specialist customer vehicle programmes. It's advanced computational design features hardware-accelerated processing and ultra-low latency control. With intuitive setup through the Motion Applied software toolchain, TAG-700 streamlines development and enhances real-time, in-race performance.

Powerful. Down to the cores.

Dedicated 264MHz dual-core combustion processor supported by two 1.2GHz quad-core application processors executing a 64bit ISO 26262 ASIL D RTOS.

FPGA‑accelerated I/O for ultra‑low‑latency and high-speed, precision sampling across dedicated analogue inputs.

Encrypted 256GB onboard ultra high-speed data logging for advanced performance analysis.

Engineered for emerging powertrains.

Developed for the most advanced racing programmes, including its role as the F1 spec 2026 ECU, TAG‑700 delivers a complete control platform for next-generation race car architectures.

Supporting control of up to 8‑cylinder engines, it enables full clutch-by-wire and brake-by-wire control, while integrating transmission, MGU‑K, active aero, MOOG and low-level driver stages within a single device.

Hardware encryption ensures secure data and telemetry, paired with direct-to-SQL/Kafka toolchain, enables for ultra-high bandwidth, low-latency data pipelines.

A unified software environment, MCT, System Monitor and ATLAS streamlines calibration, monitoring and analysis from development to trackside.

Race ready. No matter what.

TAG‑700 is built for the harshest motorsport environments. An IP65‑rated, fully sealed enclosure, pressure tested in production & protects against fluids and trackside exposure.

It operates reliably from 0°C to 70°C, with proven durability under sustained vibration, tested across all axes up to 1000Hz.

Intelligent output control.

TAG‑700 brings advanced vehicle concepts to life with a fully integrated output architecture. MOOG and servo control sit alongside high-side, low-side, TTL and open-drain, delivering precise, flexible actuation across the car.

Dedicated 5V, 10V and 12V supplies ensure stable sensor performance, while 1ms engine synchronisation enables tightly coordinated, real-time control.
